Man assaulted, robbed on UH-Downtown campus

    At approximately 2:51 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, a person was assaulted and robbed on the Metrorail Platform of the One Main Bridge at the University of Houston- Downtown campus, according to school police.

    The victim described the suspect to police as a black male of medium build, in his 20’s,Uand between 5’8” – 5’10” feet tall. He was wearing black shoes, blue jeans and a green T-shirt.

    The suspect left the Metrorail platform traveling north on Main Street. UHD Police last saw the suspect near Burnett and Chestnut streets where he evaded arrest. UHD Police recovered the victim’s cell phone.
