Details: At approximately 0035 hours, on Saturday, July 4, 2015, Michael Thomas was in a moving lane of traffic attempting suicide, by trying to get hit by a motor vehicle. An unknown female attempting to get Thomas out of the moving lane of traffic was struck by a tan in color Buick Lacrosse, and then ran over by a black in color Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The Buick and Chevrolet struck the female while trying to avoid hitting Thomas. The roadway was dark due to nighttime hours and there were no street lights in the immediate area to improve the roadway lighting. The female failed to yield the right of way to vehicular travel and was struck by the front left of the Buick, then ran over by the undercarriage of the Chevrolet. The female died from injures she sustained resulting from this crash. Thomas was transported to Ben Taub Neuro Psych Center for further evaluation. No signs of intoxication on the driver’s of the Buick or the Chevrolet. This crash is being investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Division.
