News No Comments County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking the public’s help in identifying a subject who attempted to kidnap a young girl while walking in her Cypress neighborhood.
On Sunday, Oct. 15, at about 4:00 p.m., a 16-year old female was walking through the Coles Crossing subdivision and was at the intersection of Closewood Terrace Blvd and Ashland Landing Drive, when a black Ford F-150 pulled up and stopped in front of her.
The driver of the vehicle, described as a heavy set, middle-aged white male, with short brown hair, a clean shaven face and a deep voice, exited the vehicle and asked for directions.

The female, in fear for her life, complied with the instructions and entered the truck.
The girl was able to flee the vehicle at a stop sign and flagged down a nearby citizen to call 9-1-1.

The suspect vehicle was captured on video surveillance cameras and the composite sketch is attached.
