On Saturday, April 14, 2018 investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s homicide unit filed capital murder charge for the shooting death of the Glen Wenzel.
Kevin Shepherd 24, has been charged with capital murder out of the 339th District Court and no bond has been set. The investigation is on-going.
On Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at approximately 11:59 am, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting scene in the 15400 block of Pueblito Verde Way in east Harris County. Upon arriving, deputies discovered the victim, a 46 year old Glen Wenzel unresponsive from an apparent gunshot wound. Deputies performed CPR on the victim until EMS arrived and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Deputies spoke with several witnesses who stated the victim and his employee were conducting home inspections at a construction site, when they were approached by two armed black males who attempted to rob them.
The victim co-wor ker ran from the scene while the victim got into a physically altercation with one of the suspects. The other suspect then produced a gun and shot the victim. Both suspects then fled the scene in a silver Dodge van. The van was later recovered in the 16300 block of Rockcreek Lane.
