Details: On Monday August 31, 2015, at approximately 2330 hours, the defendant, Jason Dixon, was operating a grey 2009 Kia Sedona eastbound in the 16200 block of Clay Rd. The defendant disregarded a red light at the intersection of Clay Rd and N SH 6, entered the intersection, and struck the passenger’s side rear of a tan 2008 Ford E35, that was traveling southbound in the 4300 block of N SH 6. After striking the Ford, the Ford rotated clockwise, in a southeastern direction, through the intersection, where its back left struck the driver’s side of a white 2013 Toyota Rav4, that was traveling northbound in the 4300 block of N SH 6. The front passenger’s side of the Ford then struck the front passenger’s side of a Jeep that was also traveling northbound in the 4300 block of N SH 6. During the crash, two occupants inside of the Ford, Vicente DeLeon and Reyualdo Landin, were both ejected and came to rest on the roadway. DeLeon was found on scene with no signs of life. Landin was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The defendant showed signs of impairment on scene, was arrested and charged with two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter. This case remains open and is currently under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Division.
