Update: Surveillance Video Released in Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6100 Edinburg

Houston police have released surveillance video of a vehicle wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man and a woman at 6100 Edinburg about 10:20 p.m. on Aug. 17.
The vehicle is described only as a 1980s or ’90s Ford Thunderbird or Mercury Cougar. The vehicle is seen driving down Edinburg, making a U-turn and then traveling down the same street.

The victims, Yvette Rodriguez, 26, and David Chavez, 24, were pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Arroyo and S. Overstreet reported:
Ms. Rodriguez and Mr. Chavez, who were girlfriend and boyfriend, were sitting in a vehicle parked on the street outside Rodriguez’s residence when witnesses reported hearing gunshots. Paramedics were called and pronounced the couple deceased.
