Stranger danger alert near Riverwood Middle School

A sixth grade female student of Humble ISD’s Riverwood Middle School had a run-in with a potential child predator this morning while walking to school, according to RMS Principal Donnie Bodron.
The girl said she noticed that a man on a bicycle was following her around 7:45 a.m. near the intersection of Evergreen Valley Drive and Clover Valley Drive in Greentree Village close to the greenbelt tunnel under Mills Branch Drive.
At one point, she said the man stopped and got off his bicycle, which made her uncomfortable. When a passerby stopped her car nearby and got out, the man on the bike sped away.

“While the student was not harmed, she did not feel comfortable with the situation,” Bodron stated in a letter to parents. “The student did the right thing by immediately reporting the incident to her parents and the school. The man was described as having dark hair with blondish highlights, Hispanic, wearing black, baggy shorts, a black shirt, and riding a black bicycle. A report was made to Houston Police and to Humble ISD Police.”
