Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male found at 6034 Vasser Road about 8:50 a.m. on Sunday (November 21).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Higgs and A. Vinogradov reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a call of a deceased person in a vacant field at the above address and found a male, between 18 and 35 years of age, with apparent gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased.
According to witnesses, several gunshots were heard in the area in the 9 p.m. hour the night before (November 20). Witnesses also reported seeing a silver Chevrolet Malibu or Impala leaving the area at a high rate of speed westbound on Vasser Road.
