The fatal stabbing of a man and stabbing of a female at 2020 Bentworth Street about 2 a.m. on Saturday (November 20) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The deceased man is identified as Kenneth Deleon, 35.
The female suffered a stab wound to the neck and was transported to an area hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detective S. Overstreet reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a stabbing at an apartment at the above address and found Mr. Deleon with a laceration to his right thigh. Paramedics provided medical assistance, however Deleon was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Further investigation indicated Deleon and a female family members got into a physical altercation during which they both retrieved knives. The female was stabbed in the neck and Deleon was stabbed in the right thigh.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and it was determined the case would be presented to a grand jury.
At this time, the department does not believe there is a continuous threat to the general public.
