ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within two minutes to find a hospital being evacuated with no signs of smoke or fire. A sprinkler head had extinguished a fire in a room in the Emergency Room. Crews ensured everyone had safely evacuated the building and worked to prevent further property loss. The Houston Police Department had a suspect of starting the fire in custody. HFD Arson investigators arrived to determine the cause of the fire and assist HPD. The hospital staff had everything under control, with firefighters from Stations 16, 6, 8, 7 and 18 responding to this incident.
