WHAT: House Fire

WHERE: 7200 block of Prestwick Rd. 77025
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $2.8 million in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $45 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source (air-conditioning unit)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find fire coming from the side of a 1-story house. They made an attack on the fire and contained it to the exterior of the home. A primary search was completed, and the home was ventilated. The power company was requested with the origin of the fire appearing to be from an exterior AC unit. Crews from Stations 2, 21, 28, 3, 24, 37 and 33 responded to this incident.
