Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12500 Northwest Freeway,
Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12500 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) about 2 a.m. on Saturday (January 22).
The identity of the male victim, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Hroch and Officer J. Johnson reported:
The victim, a tow truck driver, was in the process of loading a disabled vehicle on the eastbound shoulder of the Northwest Freeway when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make and model. The driver did not stop and fled the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, there is no known suspect description.
