Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 1315 Fairbanks Street about 8:35 p.m. on Monday (June 20).
The identity of the victim, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detective J. Escobar reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and learned the victim had been transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital by private vehicle, where he was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined the victim was at a relative’s residence when a black vehicle of unknown make or model drove southbound on Gano Street near the residence. Witnesses stated someone from inside the vehicle began shooting at them. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Fairbanks Street.
At this time, there is no known suspect description.
