Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman at 9955 Club Creek Drive about 2 p.m. on February 28.
The suspect, Yeisson Imut Ajualip, 20, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the 338th State District Court. He is accused in the death of Maria Gutierrez, 46.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Watson and Officer R. Waterwall reported:
Houston Fire Department paramedics requested the assistance of HPD patrol officers at the above address. Upon arrival, officers found Ms. Gutierrez, who had been shot. HFD paramedics transported her to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation developed information on a possible suspect. Previously released surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this news release.
Further investigation identified Imut Ajualip as the suspect in this case. Imut Ajualip was arrested on Tuesday (June 28) and subsequently charged for his role in Gutierrez’s death.
