Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 6338 Gladewell Street that occurred about 8:40 p.m. on Monday (January 6).
The identity of the deceased victim, 48, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The second male victim, 41, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Lamont and L. Lange reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address where they found several shell casings in the street and damage from gunfire to the closed garage door of the residence. Officers then determined a person inside the garage needed medical assistance.
Officers and responding paramedics then made entry to the garage and found both victims. One was pronounced deceased and the other was transported to an area hospital with gunshot wounds to the lower torso. At this time, there are no known suspects.
