Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred at 500 Harbor Street about 5:40 p.m. on October 8.
The suspect, Oscar Garcia (H/m, 34) is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the 230th State District Court. Blas Solis (H/m, 32) is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the 185th State Disrict Court. Booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.
Both are accused in the death of Hunter Penn, 39.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Lamont and L. Lange reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing at the above address and found Mr. Penn with multiple stab wounds lying in the back seat of a sedan. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Penn deceased.
Further investigation identified Garcia and Solis as suspects in this case. Garcia was arrested on Wednesday (October 21) and subsequently charged for his role in the shooting. Solis was arrested on Thursday (October 22) and also charged for his involvement.
