Apartment Fire in The Fairbanks / Northwest Crossing Area

WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: January 23, 2025, at 3:28 p.m.
WHERE: 8103 Grow Ln. 77040.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $560,000 in estimated damage.
DAMAGE: $60,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the second floor of a 2-story apartment building and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and the utilities were secured. The fire was controlled and extinguished and fans were used to ventilate the unit. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 39 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 5, 4, 50, 77, 57, 82, 66 and Heavy Rescue 11.
