Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6600 Bissonnet Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred in the 6600 block of Bissonnet Street about 5:30 a.m. today (July 3).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer L. Ho reported:
A pedestrian (victim) was walking in the 8100 block of Albacore Drive at the above intersection with Bissonnet when an unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene westbound on Bissonnet without stopping to render aid.
