UPDATE: Surveillance Photos Released in Fatal Shooting at 7900 Comal Street
Houston police have released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred in the 7900 block of Comal Street about 10:45 a.m. on October 22.
The suspect, was seen wearing a blue shirt, blue pants and black shoes and was seen riding a bicycle. Surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this news release.
The victim is identified John Crockett, 54.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C Sharp, E. May and D Crowder reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and located a male with gunshot wounds inside a crashed vehicle. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. He was later identified as Mr. Crockett.
Investigators learned that Crockett was driving when the suspect approached his vehicle and made contact with him. The suspect then shot Crockett and fled the scene southbound on foot. The vehicle crashed into a telephone pole.
Further investigation revealed the male pictured below as the suspect in this incident.
