Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13800 Fondren Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 13800 Fondren Road about 8:05 p.m. on Saturday (December 6).
The identity of the deceased male, 77, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer T. Hudson reported:
A red Toyota 4Runner was traveling southbound at the above address when the vehicle failed to maintain a single lane of traffic. The vehicle went over the media and struck a tree. The male driver was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
It is believed the driver may have experienced a medical episode prior to the crash.  No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
