Police Chief Finner, Volunteers to Participate in “Fashion on Ice” Show for HPD Youth Programs
Beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday (August 1), Houston Police Chief Troy Finner will join other volunteers in a fashion show to support HPD youth programs.
Chief Finner and other models will showcase the work of several Houston clothing designers on the runway at The Galleria (Mall) at 5085 Westheimer Road. Proceeds will be used to pay for:
* TAPS (Teen and Police Service Academy) students’ classroom food and drinks, certificates, graduation accessories, awards and T-shirts
* HPD Explorer cadets for travel to outside competitions, boots, emergency clothing & awards
The “Fashion on Ice” show will feature the work of clothing designers Abe Ndoye Designs, Sameera Faridi of Poshak Fashion and Style, John Lee of Another Level Apparel, Keenan Watson, and Hecktor Villarreal of Lucho Design Studio.
Special thanks to community partners Kurt Webb, General Manager of The Galleria, and Kathi Singleton, Executive Director of Ice at The Galleria, for their support and services for this event.
