Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10800 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 1:20 p.m. on Monday (July 4).The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Jewell and Officer F. Serna reported:The deceased male was riding a bicycle eastbound in a main lane on the freeway at the above address when he was struck by a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee that had changed lanes. The impact caused the bicyclist to enter the nearby toll road lanes. Paramedics were called and pronounced the male deceased.The male driver, 21, of the Jeep remained at the scene.
