House Fire in The Fondren Gardens Area

WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 20, 2025, at 6:01 a.m.
WHERE: 12200 block of Carlsbad St. 77085.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $250,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical – extension cord).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack, however quickly switched to a defensive mode. They controlled and extinguished the fire. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 2, 59, 68, 48, 80, 24, 82 and Rescue 10.
