3-Alarm Building Fire in The Sharpstown Area
WHAT: 3-Alarm building fire.
WHEN: March 12, 2025, at 5:21 p.m.
WHERE: 6689 W. Sam Houston Parkway S.
INJURIES: One firefighter transported to the hospital.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $4,000,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (undetermined).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find an office building on fire. A second alarm was requested within 40 minutes, followed by a third alarm at about 6:45 p.m. The Houston Police Department was notified to assist with traffic control. Crews removed the windows from the first and second floors and a portion of the building collapsed at about 7:20 p.m. Firefighters rotated through rehab until the fire was controlled and tapped out just after 9 p.m. A firefighter was transported to the hospital and crews remained on scene throughout the night for fire watch. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 143 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 68, 69, 2, 15, 23, 5, 21, 28, 78, 83, 10, 37, 49, 51, 57, 59, 60, 73, 75, 76, 86, 90, 6, 37, 33, Command Van 8, Rescue 10 and 42.
