Restaurant Fire in The Trinity / Houston Gardens Area

WHAT: Restaurant fire.
WHEN: March 12, 2025, at 2:29 a.m.
WHERE: 5600 block of Tidwell Rd. 77016.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (incendiary).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the roof of a 1-story restaurant. They forced entry and began an attack on the fire. A primary search was completed, and the utilities were controlled. The structure was ventilated, and the fire was controlled. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 35 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 19, 34, 32, 39, 56, 30 and Rescue 42.
