Commercial Strip Center Fire in The IAH/ Airport Area

WHAT: Commercial strip center fire.
WHEN: April 13, 2025, at 9:41 a.m.
WHERE: 5900 block of N. Sam Houston Parkway E. 77396
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a 1-story strip center. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The utilities were controlled, and a compromised area of the structure was roped off. Crews extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 57 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 74, 15, 34, 64, 56, 63, 101, 30, Hazmat and Rescue 84.
