Hotel Fire in The Greater OST / South Union Area

WHAT: Hotel fire.
WHEN: April 20, 2025, at 7:47 a.m.
WHERE: 4601 Yellowstone Blvd. 77021.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $2,950,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $200,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a room on the first floor of a 2-story hotel building. The fire was extending to the second floor and crews made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and the fire was extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 44 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 35, 46, 23, 26, 25, 40, 33, 24 and Rescue 42.
