House Fire in The Alief Area

WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: April 21, 2025, at 6:23 a.m.
WHERE: 8800 block of Belle Glen Dr. 77099.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $245,770 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $125,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation, appears to be due to weather (lightning strike).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from the roof of a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A primary and secondary search were completed, and the fire was extinguished. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the family. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 62 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 73, 69, 82, 68, 78, 83, 57, 76, 75 and Rescue 10.
