Office Building Fire in The Gulfgate Riverview/ Pine Valley Area

WHAT: Office building fire.
WHEN: May 6, 2025, at 10:48 p.m.
WHERE: 2524 Sutherland St. 77023.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
CAUSE: Under investigation (incendiary).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming through the roof of a 2-story office building and made a defensive attack. Crews were unable to perform primary search due to the instability of the structure and amount of fire. The fire was brought under control within about 30 minutes, and the building appeared to be vacant with previous fire damage. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 45 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 26, 18, 25, 40, 24, Rescue 42 and Rehab 42.
