Vacant House Fire in The Sunnyside Area

WHAT: Vacant house fire.
WHEN: May 16, 2025, at 11:37 p.m.
WHERE: 4500 block of Aledo, 77051.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from a vacant 1-story house. They made a defensive attack on the fire and protected a nearby residence. Once the fire was controlled, crews switched to an offensive strategy to complete extinguishment. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 45 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 35, 23, 26, 24, 25, 46 and 55.
