CITY OF HOUSTON MUNICIPAL COURTS CLOSED MONDAY, JANUARY 26, 2026
January 23, 2026 — Due to inclement weather, the City of Houston Municipal Courts Department will be CLOSED Monday, January 26, 2026. All normal court operations will resume on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Case resets will take place in person at all City of Houston court locations beginning Tuesday, January 27, 2026, through Tuesday, February 3, 2026, until 5 p.m.
Please visit the Municipal Courts’ website at www.houstontx.gov/courts for information on all court locations and hours of operation. It is important to note that if an individual fails to reset their case(s) during the reset period (January 27, 2026, through February 3, 2026), an arrest warrant may be issued.
From 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026, there will be:
No Trials by Judge or Jury. Resets will be given in person at all City of Houston court locations beginning Tuesday, January 27, 2026, through Tuesday, February 3, 2026, until 5 p.m.
No Arraignments. Anyone scheduled for arraignments during this time must come in person beginning Tuesday, January 27, 2026, through Tuesday, February 3, 2026, until 5 p.m., to handle their court matters.
No Parking Adjudication Hearings. Hearings will resume Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
No Jury Service. Jury service will resume Tuesday, January 27, 2026. You do not need to reschedule your jury service if scheduled during the closure period.
No Weddings. Please call 713.247.5464 to reschedule.

HOUSTON, Texas – Debido al mal tiempo, las Cortes Municipales de la Ciudad de Houston estarán cerradas el lunes 26 de enero de 2026. Audiencias de Adjudicación de Estacionamiento. Las audiencias se reanudarán el martes, 27 de enero de 2026.
Servicio de Jurado. El servicio de jurado se reanudará el martes, 27 de enero de 2026. Si su servicio de jurado estaba programado durante el cierre, no tiene que reprogramarlo.
