Two men arrested for murder of Terrance Pinnekins

Terrance Pinnekins, 52, was found dead from a gunshot wound on the East Freeway early Sunday, March 30, leading to a homicide investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).

Donald Ray Jordan, 42, was charged with murder in connection with Pinnekins’ death on Monday, March 31. Jordan also faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm and tampering with evidence. He is currently held at Harris County Jail.

The second suspect, Lee Marcell Brown, 31, was arrested on Tuesday, April 1, by the HCSO Violent Criminals Apprehension Team (VCAT). Brown was charged with felon in possession of a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is now in custody at Harris County Jail.

The incident occurred when HCSO District 3 patrol deputies responded to a call at approximately 3:26 a.m. about a man lying on the roadway in the 16900 block of East Freeway. Upon arrival, deputies found Pinnekins unresponsive with at least one gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.

HCSO Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators took over the investigation, interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. Initially, two suspects were identified, but both were at large until the arrests.
