Aug. 22, 2025 — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Houston Police Department, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Marshals Service, and the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, recently conducted a coordinated multi-agency takedown operation.
This operation included the execution of residential search warrants and arrest warrants issued against 10 defendants for offenses related to aggravated robberies, aggravated kidnapping, theft, burglary of habitation, and engaging in organized crime.
“This successful operation is a great example of how the many public safety agencies tasked with keeping our region safe consistently join forces to get violent criminals off our streets,” said Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. “The strong cases built by this team of investigators will help prosecutors ensure that these suspects face consequences that reflect the seriousness of their alleged crimes.”
Houston Police Department Chief J. Noe Diaz Jr. commended the joint effort.
“The results of this operation reflect the relentless commitment of the men and women who serve and protect our communities every day,” Chief Diaz said. “We are proud of their work and grateful for the partnerships that made this operation a success.”
Defendants Juan Dario Carcamo and Sergio G Gutierrez Blanco were charged with aggravated robbery by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division for a convenience store robbery that happened on Aug. 11, 2023 in the 16500 block of Market Street in East Harris County.
Defendants Robert Guevara, Miguel Angel Flores-Magana, Kevin Alexander Parada, Arturo Diaz Esparza, and William Flores stand charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. This incident occurred on March 15, 2024, in the 13000 block of Eldridge Valley Drive in West Harris County. The suspects allegedly forced their way into a home, brandished firearms, and held a family at gunpoint while ransacking the home and demanding money.
This crew is suspected of operating this criminal enterprise for several years in Harris and surrounding counties, frequently targeting immigrant-owned businesses. The multi-agency investigations into this violent crime operation are ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
