HOUSTON, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office arrested seven men during a two-day undercover operation focused on reducing the demand that fuels human trafficking and protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation.
The operation was conducted on Monday, Aug. 31, and Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, by the HCSO Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit (HEAT), with assistance from the Undercover Operations Unit, Auto Theft Proactive Unit, Missing Persons Unit, Adult Sex Crimes Unit, High Tech Crimes Unit, District 1 Crime Reduction Unit and Baytown Investigations Unit.
Seven men were arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution.
“This operation sends a clear message that we are actively pursuing those who fuel the demand for human trafficking,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. “By holding buyers accountable, we can disrupt exploitation, protect vulnerable people and help victims move toward safety.”
HCSO recognizes that people experiencing trafficking may be controlled through fear, manipulation, violence or coercion, making it difficult to seek help.
Under the leadership of Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, investigators work closely with advocates and community partners to help connect victims with safe shelter, relocation assistance and other resources needed to begin moving forward.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting victims, holding offenders accountable and helping survivors find a safe path forward.
