2-Alarm House Fire in The Denver Harbor / Port Houston Area

WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 16, 2024, at 3:49 p.m.
WHERE: 3300 block of Arlicious St. 77020.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $122,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find moderate smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. They ventilated the roof and began a primary search when conditions appeared to worsen. A defensive attack was initiated. All crews were ordered to evacuate. A mayday was briefly called for an unaccounted firefighter. A second alarm was requested, and the member was accounted for. Crews extinguished the fire and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 86 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 41, 17, 23, 19, 20, 45, 27, 39, 43, 44, 45, 30, 15, Heavy Rescue 11, Rescue 42 and Rehab 17.
