On Thursday, January 2, 2025, at approximately 0017 hours, an unknown juvenile male was operating a stolen motor vehicle, which was a 2019 Kia Sorrento, southbound on Sorrel Ridge Drive with five passengers. The unknown juvenile failed to stop for the deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office who had emergency lights and sirens activated. The unknown juvenile continued southbound on Sorrel Ridge Drive at a very high rate of speed. The unknown juvenile attempted to turn east onto the 3900 block of Rolling Terrace Drive. As the unknown juvenile was turning, he failed to drive in a single lane and struck a large tree. Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and found the unknown juvenile operator, along with another unknown juvenile male passenger and a known juvenile male passenger, JC, with no signs of life. The other three passengers, whom were known juvenile males, MP, WS, and IE, were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. None of the occupants of the stolen vehicle were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. This incident remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
