Apartment Fire in The Braeswood Area

WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: December 12, 2024, at 5:59 p.m.
WHERE: 2820 Broadmead Dr. 77025.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $85,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $25,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as incendiary. The ADA accepted Arson F1 charges.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the first floor of a 2-story apartment building. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search.  Crews extinguished the fire with no extension to other apartment units found. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 46 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 7, 2, 21, 46, 16, 33, 37, 59 and 24.
