Vacant Apartment Fire in The Westbury Area

WHAT: Vacant apartment fire.
WHEN: January 24, 2025, at 1:08 p.m.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from the roof of a vacant 2-story apartment building and made an offensive attack. The doors and windows were secured with plywood and crews forced entry to complete a primary search. They found and extinguished a fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 51 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 2, 21, 59, 28, 48, 51, 80, 82, 37, 24, Heavy Rescue 11 and Rescue 1.
