Vacant Residential Structure in The Greater Third Ward

WHAT: Vacant residential structure fire.
WHEN: January 22, 2025, at 10:20 a.m.
WHERE: 3200 Francis St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $175,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vacant residential structure and made an offensive attack. The roof was ventilated, and a primary search was completed. Crews pulled the ceiling and secured the utilities. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 54 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 18, 23, 8, 46, 7, 25 and 24.
