Warehouse Fire in The South Belt / Ellington Area
WHAT: Warehouse fire.
WHEN: January 22, 2025, at 10:31 a.m.
WHERE: 10599 Moers Rd. 77075.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $200,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from a medium sized warehouse. Due to the amount of smoke, a defensive attack was made. The fire was in an office area. A warming trailer was provided for the crews and Hazardous Materials determined there was no hazmat issue. The fire was controlled and extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 58 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 26, 70, 29, 36, 52, 61, 93, 94, 24, 30, Hazmat and Rescue 42.
