Abandoned Apartment Fire in The Spring Branch West Area

WHAT: Abandoned apartment fire.
WHEN: Today, February 7, 2025, at 3:54 a.m.
WHERE: 10110 Westview Dr. 77043.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find an abandoned apartment building fully involved on fire and made a defensive attack. A primary search was completed, and the building was found to have no power or utilities. Crews rotated until the fire was fully controlled and extinguished, and ensured all hot spots were fully out. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 45 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 2, 5, 78, 49, 57, 69, 77 and Rescue 10.
