House Fire in The East Houston Area

WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: February 24, 2025, at 2:54 p.m.
WHERE: 8800 block of Woodlyn Rd. 77078.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and the utilities were secured. The roof was ventilated, and the fire was quickly controlled. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 38 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 15, 19, 45, 32, 43, 56, 30 and Rescue 42.
