Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12300 East Freeway

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 12300 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 11:05 p.m. on Monday (February 9).
The identity of the deceased male, 48, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer R. McLemore reported:
The operator of a black Indian Roadmaster motorcycle was traveling on the East Freeway service road when he entered the freeway entrance ramp, attempted to switch lanes and struck the curb. The impact of striking the curb caused the male to be ejected. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.
