15-year old shoots woman in Kingwood during street fight

A 15-year-old boy was arrested Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, after firing more than 20 rounds during a dispute and injuring a woman, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Deputies responded to a weapons disturbance in the 2700 block of Liles Lane. Investigators determined that five juveniles were involved in an altercation when a 15-year-old boy pulled out a gun and fired more than 20 shots.

A 49-year-old woman was struck in the foot during the gunfire. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Law enforcement quickly located the suspect nearby. Authorities said the teen was already on probation for theft. Deputies recovered the firearm and booked the suspect into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

“Discharging a firearm more than 20 times during an altercation could have resulted in a far more tragic outcome,” Constable Mark Herman said. “Our deputies acted quickly to locate the juvenile suspect and recover the firearm.”
