House Fire in The Northside / Northline Area

WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 20, 2025, at 10:54 a.m.
WHERE: 9000 W. Hardy Rd. 77022.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $147,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $18,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from a 1-story house. They made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The roof was ventilated, and the fire was quickly extinguished. The owner had thrown out some food that caught fire and it accidently caught materials on the exterior of the home on fire, spreading to the house and attic. 47 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 30, 15, 31, 34, 12, 58, 19, 17, and Rescue 42.
