Apartment Fire in The Westwood Area

WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: February 4, 2025, at 6:33 p.m.
WHERE: 9450 Woodfair Dr. 77036.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: More than $15,500,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (cooking).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 2-story apartment building. They controlled a fire in the kitchen of a unit and conducted a primary search. The fire and smoke were contained to the unit of origin and crews used fans to remove the smoke. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 2, 68, 83, 10, 73, 51 and 80.
