House / Garage Fire in The Clear Lake Area

WHAT: House / garage fire.
WHEN: March 2, 2025 at 6:43 a.m.
WHERE: 16300 block of Locke Haven Dr. 77059.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

CAUSE: Under investigation (appears accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from a detached garage of a 2-story house. They made an attack on the fire and ensured the utilities were controlled. Crews controlled the fire and contained it to the garage and the backdoor area of the house. There was heavy smoke in the attic and on the second floor of the home. Fans were used to clear the smoke, and a primary and secondary search were completed. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The residents were advised to have an electrician inspect the home and garage and make needed repairs before turning the power back on. 36 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 23, 70, 71, 72, 93, 94 and 24.
