2nd UPDATE: Suspect Charged in 2022 Fatal Shooting at 6300 Scarlet Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of two men found near 6300 Scarlet Drive on January 5 and 6 of 2022.
The suspect, Andre Medlock, 24, is charged with capital murder in the 182nd Criminal District Court. A photo of Medlock, who is in the custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), is attached to this news release.
The victims are identified as Courtney Glaze, 32, and Miles Everett, 30.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Burrow and R. Watson and Detectives K. Amri and K. Hale reported:
On January 5, 2022 about 3:45 p.m., HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call at the above address and found a vehicle with an unidentified male inside.  He had suffered a gunshot wound and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased.  He was later identified as Mr. Glaze.
On January 6, 2022, HPD homicide detectives returned to the scene at the above address to continue their investigation.  While searching a wooded area near the original scene, they discovered a second unidentified male deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.  He was later identified as Mr. Everett.
Investigators developed Medlock as a person of interest. Further investigation identified him as the suspect and he was subsequently charged on August 28, 2025. Medlock is currently in TDCJ custody for a criminal conviction unrelated to this incident.
