2nd UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in 2024 Fatal Shooting at 14723 West Oaks Plaza Drive

Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a male at 14723 West Oaks Plaza Drive about 10:55 p.m. on September 14, 2024.
The suspect, D’Marion Manuel, 21, is charged with capital murder in the 486th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Manuel is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Austin Pham, 23.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C. LaFour, A. Lopez and Detectives G. Zavala and N. Sharp reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a suspicious person with a weapon call at an apartment complex at the above address. A caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing people flee the area with weapons. Upon arrival officers found an unresponsive male suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
Further investigation identified D’Marion Manuel as a suspect in this case. On Tuesday (November 18), he was arrested by HPD Westside Patrol Division’s Crime Suppression Team. He was subsequently charged and booked into Harris County Jail.
