Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 15200 Westheimer Parkway about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday (January 23).
The identity of the deceased female, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer K. Stout reported:
The female was driving a blue Nissan Sentra eastbound near the above address when she failed to stay in a single lane, drove over the median and into the westbound lanes of Westheimer Parkway. The driver of a silver Ford Fiesta traveling westbound on Westheimer Parkway was unable to stop and struck the Nissan on the passenger side.
The female was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics. The male driver, 55, of the Ford was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
